2017 was a pretty wild year. LOTS of ups and down current events-wise, but one thing really remained strong this year: LOW INVENTORY OF HOMES FOR SALE and HIGHER HOME SALE PRICES.
So will 2018 be the same? Well, let me look into my crystal ball and see… Actually signs show that 2018 will be pretty close to 2017 in terms of home sales and turnovers. If rates remain as low as they are, and if unemployment stays low too, then that’s a great mix for hot to trot home buyers. Home values increased in 2017, and homes will increase in value in 2018, but not as much. The big question is whether there will be low inventory for homes for sale again or not. I’m predicting, yes, that will be the same as well. New construction homes will also be at a high again this year even with construction costs RISING at a rapid rate. With less homes on the market, more and more buyers are looking to build. Home builders, this will be a good year for you!
